"School creates its own darkside" - Hannah Arendt

Ecole, Nouvelle, Architecture, Nouvelle, Ecole.

Reflecting on these words and their sequence, a designerly statement was made about the educational importance of the knowledge one acquires in school beside the imposed, scholastic, ‘to absorb’ information.
​
We named it ‘the shadow side of the school’, the accidental, the getting caught, the memory. Since the shadow side becomes visible when pointed out; a school model is presented where a plurality of well-intended, scholastic, design-related decisions are maniacally applied in order to create a most efficient learning apparatus, having a transgression to the educational mass hidden in the shadow as a result.
